Marilyn Gladu – a staunch, far-right Conservative – crossing the floor to the Liberals is bad for everyone.
It is bad for Pierre Poilievre that he has completely lost control of his own party. It is bad for Mark Carney that he would welcome someone like Gladu into his. It is bad for the voters, who have no say in the matter.
Everyone should be embarrassed and ashamed. Floor crossing needs to be outlawed.
