  1. It is impossible to get to three stars from the Maple Leafs loss to the Senators on Tuesday.

As bad of a performance that a team can have. At no point did the Leafs show any life, not even in the third period with score effects in place.

  1. My three stars from the Leafs thrilling comeback win against the Capitals on Wednesday...

  1. Bobby McMann

  2. Max Domi

  3. Mitch Marner

The Leafs looked so bleh through 40 minutes, only to completely take over the third period, led by their stars.

That will have to happen sometimes, more so when the Leafs are trotting out an awful third line.

  1. My three stars from the Leafs shutout win over the Golden Knights on Wednesday...

  1. Joseph Woll

  2. John Tavares

  3. William Nylander

The Leafs best players were their best players, mixed in with impressive debuts from Fraser Minten and Nikita Grebyonkin.

Toronto has their flaws, but depth is not one of them.

  1. My three stars from the Leafs win over Utah on Sunday...

  1. Tavares

  2. Marner

  3. Nylander

The second period by the Leafs is as well as a team can play.

  1. I have no issues with the Blues firing Drew Bannister to make way for Jim Montgomery.

It's an upgrade and a rather large one at that.

It will not take the Bruins long to figure out that he was not the issue in Boston.

  1. If there are teams lining up to trade for Jakob Poeltl at the deadline, the Raptors have to do so.

They are not going to be competing for championships while he is in his prime, while it would make the team worse for the remainder of the season.

And that is a good thing.

  1. We have to soon have a conversation about the Lions simply being way better than anyone else in the NFL.

That includes the Chiefs.

  1. I love what I am watching with the Eagles, but I cannot get over the fact that Nick Sirianni is their head coach.

As long as that is the case, it feels like they can do no better than getting blown out in the NFC Championship Game by the Lions.

  1. The Steelers are in a great spot, albeit with a tough schedule ahead, but that does not make their loss on Thursday any easier.

Yes, it was a short-week game, on the road, in bad weather, against a team who approached the game as their Super Bowl, but even then, it was so winnable.

Mike Tomlin puked all over himself. He is good for one of those a season.
